Lejose Fashion House was founded in 1991 by Christine and Brian Davis in Mairangi Bay on Auckland's North Shore. What began as a small boutique with a clear vision — to bring the finest European womenswear to New Zealand — has grown into one of Auckland's most trusted and enduring fashion destinations.
Over 35 years, Christine and Brian have built something rare in New Zealand retail: a boutique where the founders are still present, still personally selecting every piece, with Christine styling each customer who walks through the door. That continuity — of expertise, of taste, of relationship — is what makes Lejose genuinely different.
Today, Lejose is located at 20 Morrow Street in Newmarket — Auckland's premier fashion precinct — stocking Marella by MaxMara, Gran Sasso, Fabiana Filippi, Crida, and Juvia, and a curated selection of accessories including Nero Giardini, Jimmy Choo, and Anderson Belts.

1991
Mairangi Bay — Where It Began
Christine and Brian Davis open Lejose Fashion House on Auckland's North Shore. From the very first season, the focus is on premium European labels and a personal service experience that no department store can replicate.
Late 1990s
Takapuna — Growing a Loyal Clientele
As the business grows, Lejose moves to Takapuna, building a devoted following of Auckland women who return season after season for Christine and Brian's expert eye and the carefully curated European collections.
2000s
Newmarket, Teed Street — Into the Fashion Precinct
Lejose establishes itself in Newmarket's Teed Street — the heart of Auckland's premium fashion precinct. The move brings Lejose alongside the city's finest boutiques, and the reputation continues to grow.
Today
20 Morrow Street — A Home for European Style
Lejose is now located at 20 Morrow Street, Newmarket — a beautifully appointed boutique with dedicated client parking. After 35 years, Christine remains in the store every day, personally styling every customer who visits, while Brian continues to help select every piece the collection carries.
Our Curation Philosophy
What we look for when selecting a new label
We do not select labels because they are fashionable or because they are heavily advertised. We select them because they are exceptional — in fabric, construction, design, and longevity.
Every label in the Lejose collection has been personally assessed by Christine and Brian. Marella by MaxMara is selected for its Italian authority and the breadth of its occasion wear. Gran Sasso for its extraordinary knitwear and natural fibre mastery. Juvia for its elegant, wearable softness. Nero Giardini and Jimmy Choo for footwear and accessories that complete an outfit rather than compete with it.
The result is a collection that hangs together as a wardrobe — not a series of disconnected trend purchases. It is, we believe, what fashion should be.
